This week we’ve got a Bud-on-Bud solo session 🎙️
And somehow… we start by going completely off the grid. We’re talking getting out of dodge, digging your own poo hole, and fully embracing survival mode like we know what we’re doing. (We don’t.)
From there, we get a little introspective and talk about facing your demons with the help of “earth medicine,” and the very real struggle of trying to eat “healthy” as you get older. Why is eating intuitively so hard? And why do we all turn into vacuum cleaners the second food hits the table?
We also recap tattooing at Disney’s Dapper Day, where we almost fumbled a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity… but managed to recover like true Buds. Because at the end of the day, nothing is ever that serious. (Except when it is.)
And then… we take a sharp left turn. Jimmy Jam shares a Tattoo Cover Up story he heard from a friend that involves aliens… paranoia… and a man who may never emotionally recover.

This episode of Tattoo Budcast gets unhinged real fast with special guest Lindsay Shaver, owner of punk record and clothing shop Dead Rockers 🖤
We kick things off with some absolutely chaotic topics, starting with the most inappropriate funeral songs you could possibly play (yes, we go there). Then we jump into vampires like normal people, realize we’ve been mispronouncing words our entire lives like idiots, and somehow end up listening to the most disgusting snoring “hack” ever recorded… genuinely one of the worst things to hit our ears.
From there, it only gets worse. We spiral into rat kings, things that make our skin crawl, and all the nightmare fuel you wish you could unhear. In between the chaos, Lindsay casually drops how she built Dead Rockers from pop-ups to a full brick and mortar and kept it alive through a pandemic like it was just another Tuesday.
Then we switch gears and answer a listener question about how to tell your tattoo artist you’re not happy with your last few pieces without ruining the relationship or your future tattoos 😬
We close it out with our Cover Up segment, where Lindsay tells a story about a haunted antique doll she picked up on the road… and that’s all you’re getting. Trust us.

We’ve got a brand new episode for you, and this time Johnny Bones and Goonies Ulloa from Dreamland Art Co are sitting in with Sanae . They’re filling in on the mic for Jimmy Jam🎙️
The Buds sit down and reminisce about Friday the 13th tattoo days, and if you think they’re brutal now… imagine doing 50 tattoos in one day for $13 each. Absolute chaos.
Also, it’s impossible to ignore that Bones has two 32oz drinks strapped to his hands the entire time. Is this a lifestyle? A cry for help? This leads us into drinking games, bad decisions, and the very real fear of next-day hangxiety.
We also get into the Super Bowl halftime show (Team Bad Bunny, obviously), and then spiral into an important survival question… could any of us make it in the wild? Goonies and Sanae are ready to tap out immediately, but Bones is fully convinced he’s built for the wilderness.
From there, we unlock a new nightmare hobby: searching “tattoo gun” on Amazon and reading the reviews. The results? Horrifying tattoos, questionable machines… and yes, someone mentions flesh-eating bacteria.
To close it out, we read two listener letters:
One asks if it’s okay to change a flash design right before an appointment, and another confesses to some sweet, sweet workplace revenge.
